History

The Story of Mosaic 33 begins in a truly humble setting, in a family home in Marabella, Trinidad and Tobago on April 21st, 2009. This authentic and grassroots beginning is a testament to the company’s origin.

The company’s founder, Ryan Ramtahal, established Mosaic 33’s first operations just days before his 21st birthday. The operations were set up in the downstairs of his family home, in a modest 6ft by 8ft room, a testament to his early struggles and determination.

After gaining 4 years of solid knowledge of work experience in the Architectural and Civil/Structural Engineering field and fueled by an entrepreneurial spirit, Ryan gave up his salary to pursue his dreams . At the time, it was a big risk because he was the main breadwinner in his home, with his mother, a housewife, and father, who could not work due to health issues, and his younger brother, who was at college then.

Little did he know the journey would not be easy. He had realized he had bitten more than he could chew. The journey was full of challenges and obstacles in business and personal life, but by facing them head-on with courage and God’s strength, he was able to overcome them one by one and gain knowledge and confidence along the way.

Fast-forward to 2024, and Ryan has gained a lot of new experience, having worked on international projects in other fields such as Industrial oil and gas, Marine and Structural Offshore. He has also increased his knowledge in Architectural and Civil/Structural Engineering. Mosaic 33 is committed to delivering high-quality international-standard design and engineering services and also mentoring younger professionals in the field by hiring and training.

After 19 years in the industry and overcoming all the challenges and obstacles needed to develop our value system, I would say it was all worth it. Mosaic 33 has built a solid foundation of principles and values. We are proud of where we’ve been and excited about where we are going next. And we’re just getting started!
